Holiday villa with a view!
Villa Lukka has truly panoramic views: to the east the lovely Islamlar valley, to the south Kalkan Bay and islands, and to the west across the Xanthos plain to the mountains once known as Anti-Cragus.
These were the heartlands of ancient Lycia whose people were known as “the Lukka”. Hence the name of the house.
Villa Lukka sounds rather grand, but the house is in fact a simple, compact and functional holiday home with a pool in a unique location. It’s 6 or 7 km from Kalkan and the drive into town, winding down a verdant valley, takes 15 minutes.
The house stands at the end of a 700 metre long private drive that serves three neighbouring villas. The last section of this drive is steep and visitors are advised to engage first gear before starting up it.
The location of the house is very private and quiet, but it is not isolated. There's a neighbouring villa immediately behind the house and others further up the hill.

A life-long, footloose expatriate, I spend several months every year in the villa when I am frequently joined by friends and family.
Overlooking the sea and with a backdrop of mountains, the villa’s location is magnificent. In summer it’s a place to relax while in the cooler months it's ideal for outdoor activities.
Turkey, both ancient and modern, is a fascinating country and the people are extremely hospitable. I hope you enjoy staying here as much as I do.
